Vanej House
2025 - ongoing
The Vanej House represents a harmonious dialogue between Italian Alpine tradition and contemporary design sensibilities. This architectural endeavor is deeply rooted in the principles of the local slow food movement, creating meaningful connections with the surrounding landscape while honoring cultural heritage. The project artfully balances traditional Italian mountain architectural elements with wabi-sabi philosophy and clean modern forms.
The design process embraces cutting-edge technology alongside artistic intuition. Advanced drone mapping and LiDAR structural scanning provide precise spatial data, while Gaussian splat techniques enable sophisticated visualization. These technological applications are complemented by parametric design methodologies that respond to environmental conditions and user needs. The inclusion of collage work in the design process introduces an organic, intuitive element that helps marry traditional craftsmanship with technological precision.
The result is a structure that feels simultaneously timeless and forward-looking—a space that nurtures connections to local food traditions and the natural landscape while embodying refined, thoughtful design principles.
